AMJM06 percutaneous jaundice meter is used for dynamic mon-itoring of neonatal jaundice and screening for hyperbilirubinemia. In addition to being non-invasive, safe, and convenient, the instrument performs ultraviolet light treatment on the strong light emitted from the internal xenon arc lamp so that the fiber that is injected into the skin of the baby's forehead does not contain ultraviolet rays, thus avoiding damage to the skin caused by ultraviolet rays. AMJM06 Percutaneous Epidemiology uses a difference in the absorption of blue light (460 nm) and green light (550 nm) in the skin tissue to detect bilirubin concentration in the skin tissue of newborn infants.
After the probe is placed on the baby's forehead and activated, the light emitted by the xenon arc lamp is guided to the skin surface via the optical fiber of the outer ring of the probe, and is directly under the skin. The light waves on the skin are repeatedly scattered and absorbed, eventually returning to the optical fiber of the inner ring of the probe and transmitting it to the corresponding photo-diode. By calculating the optical density differences of the two light waves of 460 mm and 550 nm, the measured value (also called transcutaneous value) of the percutaneous jaundice meter was obtained
